April Drolette
COACH & REGISTERED NURSE
April found CrossFit in 2013, her senior year of high school, and never stopped. She carried that passion through an Exercise Science degree at Merrimack College, then followed her drive to improve people's health even further into nursing school at UMass Boston, where she's now a registered nurse. Her favorite movements are the classics — the Squat Clean and the Snatch — and she coaches with the same high energy and willingness to learn that she brings to everything else in her life.
Ask anyone at the gym and they'll tell you the same thing: April lights up a room the second she walks in. Her energy is contagious, her spirit is kind, and she has a presence that makes people want to show up and try harder, whether she's coaching a class or working a hospital shift. She's never satisfied with where she's at, constantly chasing growth in both of her careers, always looking for a new skill to learn or a better way to show up for the people counting on her. April is also the proud founder of the gym's "Rack Pack" dog walks, a tradition that says a lot about how she coaches: bring people together, keep it fun, and never miss a chance to talk about her dog.
Outside the gym: Ask April about her Australian Shepherd, Finley, and be ready to scroll through an extensive photo collection. She will happily show you anytime.
